BIO
Colle di Bordocheo is a farm located in the north of Tuscany in a panoramic position on the Lucca’s hills exposed to splendid sunsets and populated by many beautiful species of birds. In medieval times this area was the last piece of the territory of 6 miles, which belonged to the Republic of Lucca, which was granted special protection by the more powerful Republic of Florence, due to its vocation for agriculture.
The Chelini great-grandfather worked at Colle di Bordocheo many years before the grandfather was able to purchase the XIX century farmhouse, with vines and olive trees. The next generation added the other 2 neighboring farms and today, Colle di Bordocheo is a 10-hectare property with olive groves and vineyards and 4 renovated apartments available to the tourists who would like to immerge in the Country life experience.
The southern exposure confers a large amount of daily light and excellent ventilation. Lucca’s Hills have been officially sited as a «green district» recognized for its environmental commitment. Barbara started working in the Farm in 2007 and immediately began to explore organic farming, first for the olive trees and then for the vines. Since 2018 all the farm is certified organic.

An orange wine, unfined and lightly filtered, no sulfites added, at 11.5% alcohol. Fresh Cantalupo on the nose, medium body with excellent mineral finish.
Great respect for the varietal; floral and mineral, it is the perfect pairing in the typical Tuscany summer evenings.
A blend of the local grape varietals, mainly Sangiovese, aged only in stainless steel. Intense red fruits, medium body with soft and dry tannins on the palate.
100% Sangiovese harvested on a slope with great exposition, aged in used French barrels for 14 months and then 12 months in the bottle. Smooth, intense and long lasting.
100% Syrah fermented whole cluster, aged for 10 months in big tonneaux. It has the soul of a great Rhone Valley wine, fresher and more fruit-forward than most of Syrah harvested in Tuscany.
