BIO
Cà = House and Brusà= burned, Cà Brusà = the burned house. In Italy, especially in areas dedicated to viticulture, many producers are related or have the same surname, which is a nickname needed. The original house burned on fire in 1850, and that is why they got named “Cà Brusà”.
10 Hectares of vineyard placed as a beautiful green amphitheater in front of the winery, mainly Nebbiolo planted with an exposure that will qualify for Barolo. Located in Monforte d’Alba, an area with helvetian soils of compressed sandstone and chalks that delivers wines with powerful body, structured tannins and with great aging potential. Certified organic, they allow their wines to age properly in the cellar before being released.
BIO
The Marengo family have been making wines in Langhe since 1890, when Domenico Marengo moved to Monforte d’Alba. Today, while Diego and his son Luca are taking care of the vines and the cellar, the mother Rita with the son-chef Dario run the old family house that is a B&B with 6 bedrooms and a “trattoria” with the best local food. This is a great example of a circular economy.

made with young vines (5 years old) it has the violet-rose petal notes on the nose, nice bright light red color, and long lasting tannins.
Only 100 cases produced since mainly all their vines are Nebbiolo planted to become Barolo. Special love and attention is given to Dolcetto, making it more expressive than most other Dolcettos
Aged 30 months in big French oak barrels, 6 months in stainless steel and then 1 years in the bottle.
Bright dark cherry color, a hint of tobacco and red fruits turns into a more floral scent recalling violet and rose flowers. Great elegance and long lasting tannins
Coming from a specific parcel, it is the cru. Ages for 15 months in big barrels, 15 months in small French oak, 1 year in stainless steel and then 1 year in the bottle. It Has great aging potential- The climate change of the last 10 years requires some aging in barriques to process the big tannins extracted during the maceration/fermentation
Only in the best vintages, 35 cases of Barolo Vai become Riserva 10 years. Only the best selection of Barolo VAI ages extra 6 months in barrel, the bottles are then kept in the dark and released after 10 years, giving the wine the time to evolve and integrate all its complexity. It can easily age 30 years after release.
